About the role

The position will be based at either Energy Fiji Limited’s Kinoya Office or Navutu Office and will report to the Project Director Transmission. The Project Manager Substations is responsible for managing the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of substation projects within Energy Fiji Limited while reporting directly to the Project Director Transmission. The role provides leadership and technical direction for 132kV and 33kV zone substation works, coordinates multidisciplinary project teams, manages contractors and consultants, and ensures project activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with EFL engineering standards, approved budgets, timelines, quality requirements, and relevant statutory obligations. Key Responsibilities: 1) Project Planning & Coordination Lead detailed project planning for 132kV and 33kV substations projects, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management. Coordinate technical, environmental, land, stakeholder, outage, and construction requirements for substation projects. Assist in the development and review of project designs, drawings, technical specifications, tender evaluation criteria, and implementation plans. 2) Project Implementation & Monitoring Oversee day-to-day execution of substations project activities, including survey, access preparation, civil works, installation and pre-commissioning works. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards, contract requirements, quality expectations, and safety procedures.
