About the role

This is an open Expression of Interest (EOI) run by the Division of Human Resources, allowing job seekers to register interest in joining FNU's workforce across both support and academic streams. Support stream roles provide technical and administrative support within divisions or colleges, carrying out duties assigned by an immediate supervisor, and may be either unestablished/waged (paid hourly) or established/salaried (paid fortnightly) positions. Academic stream roles fall under either Higher Education, focused on high-quality teaching and applied research aligned with national priorities, or TVET, focused on industry-informed teaching, training, and applied research through close industry engagement. Applicants must clearly specify their area of interest and employment stream (support or academic) in their covering letter and detail relevant work experience in their CV.

Key responsibilities

• Support stream: provide technical and administrative support within the assigned division or college
• Support stream: carry out duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
• Academic (Higher Education) stream: deliver high-quality, innovative, and relevant teaching connected to the professional field
• Academic (Higher Education) stream: conduct applied research relevant to national and regional priorities, including peer-reviewed publications and commissioned reports
• Academic (TVET) stream: deliver high-quality, innovative teaching and training informed by industry needs
• Academic (TVET) stream: engage closely with employers and stay current with industry needs and priorities

About the successful candidate

• Must clearly specify area of interest and employment stream (support or academic) in a signed covering letter
• Covering letter must conclude with a declaration of clean police record and fitness to work
• Detailed CV outlining relevant work experience, with contact details of at least 3 referees
• Certified academic credentials and transcripts required
