About the role

The Strategic Data Coordinator supports the University's business intelligence functions, covering the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of data to inform strategic decision-making across Colleges, Divisions, and Departments. This position sits within the Strategic Planning and Development department under the Office of the Vice Chancellor. The Coordinator develops and implements data strategies and governance frameworks, ensures data quality and integrity across institutional systems, and promotes a data-driven culture. The role also involves assisting in the operational direction of all University surveys and preparing timely reports for various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse, interpret, and report data to facilitate strategic decision-making across Colleges, Divisions, and Departments
• Develop and implement data strategies and governance frameworks
• Ensure data quality and integrity across institutional systems
• Promote a data-driven culture within the University
• Assist in the operational direction of all University surveys
• Prepare and present reports to various stakeholders in a timely manner

About the successful candidate

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of work experience
• Demonstrated experience in data analysis and university survey reports
• Extensive experience handling large volumes of institutional data and utilizing various data storage and reporting systems
• Experience developing and implementing data strategies and governance frameworks
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (desirable)
