About the role
Assistant Lecturers in Ethics and Governance will teach units and develop teaching materials within the College of Humanities and Education. They are normally not required to develop curriculum, though they are expected to teach assigned units and create supporting materials. While primary research activity is directed toward completing a Master's or doctoral degree, successful candidates may also publish research papers and present at conferences. Assistant Lecturers are full members of their department and begin taking on limited administrative responsibilities. This recruitment is for four positions in the Ethics and Governance department.
Key responsibilities
- Teach units in Ethics and Governance
- Develop teaching materials for assigned courses
- Undertake research directed toward completing Master's or doctoral requirements
- Publish research papers and present work at conferences
- Take on limited administrative tasks within the department
About the successful candidate
- Postgraduate with a Bachelor's qualification in Governance, Psychology, or closely related field (Essential)
- Minimum two years of relevant work experience, such as teaching experience (Essential)
- Active pursuit or successful completion of a relevant Master's degree (Desirable)
- Work experience in Higher Education (Desirable)
