About the role
This Food & Beverage Assistant role is a Service Expert position covering a wide range of event functions, from setting tables and event materials to communicating with the kitchen and serving guests. The role involves welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards and speaking with others using clear, professional language. Duties include following company safety and security policies, reporting maintenance needs or unsafe conditions to a manager, and completing required safety training and certifications. The role also requires maintaining a clean, professional appearance and protecting company assets and confidential information. Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, reaching overhead and below the knees, and moving or lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Set tables and event materials and communicate with the kitchen
- Interact with and serve guests, and clean work areas and supplies
- Follow company safety and security policies and procedures
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
- Support team to reach common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
About the successful candidate
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- No supervisory experience required
- No license or certification required
- Able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
- Able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Open to Fiji Citizens only
