About the role
As a Recreation Assistant at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, you will encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities while promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere. You will provide information about available recreation facilities and activities, and promote safety rules and regulations to ensure guest welfare. This role is central to delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable experiences for resort guests.
Key responsibilities
- Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests
- Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities
- Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members
- Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency
- Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications
- Process payments for rental equipment, recreation activities, facility rentals, or retail sales
About the successful candidate
- Fiji Citizen (position open to Fiji Citizens only)
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- No related work experience required
- No supervisory experience required
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
