About the role
The Plumber role sits within the resort's Engineering Department and is responsible for plumbing maintenance, installation, and repair work across the property. This includes ensuring water, drainage, and associated systems remain safe, functional, and well maintained in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. The role supports engineering projects such as refurbishments and renovations, responds promptly to maintenance requests, and coordinates with other departments. The Plumber also manages plumbing tools, materials, and spare parts inventory through approved purchasing processes, and keeps accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities carried out.
Key responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures throughout the property.
- Inspect and repair leaks, blockages, water supply issues, and drainage systems.
- Maintain guest room, public area, and back-of-house plumbing facilities, including sinks, toilets, showers, and faucets.
- Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing equipment and systems.
- Support refurbishment, renovation, and engineering projects as required.
- Respond to plumbing maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and maintain plumbing tools, materials, and spare parts inventory; order and manage supplies through approved purchasing processes.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
About the successful candidate
- Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Mechanical Services, or a related trade.
- Minimum 2 years of plumbing, maintenance, or facilities management experience.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage systems, pumps, and fixtures.
- Ability to read basic plumbing drawings and maintenance documentation.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills; ability to safely operate plumbing tools and equipment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required; must have working rights in Fiji.
