About the role
As a Recreation Supervisor at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, you will create and manage recreational activity agendas and promotional materials while fostering an engaging and safe environment for guests. You will oversee activity scheduling, guest registration, and equipment maintenance, while responding to emergencies and ensuring guest safety and satisfaction. This role combines hospitality service delivery with supervisory responsibilities, requiring you to mentor staff, maintain quality standards, and uphold company policies in a luxury resort setting.
Key responsibilities
- Create recreational activity agendas and advertisements using publishing software
- Conduct inventory of supplies, materials and equipment; inform manager of low supply items
- Encourage, recruit, register and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests and provide information about available facilities
- Observe recreational facility activities and respond appropriately to emergencies; provide assistance to injured guests
- Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies
- Assist management in training, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model
- Report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications
About the successful candidate
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 2 years of related work experience in recreation or hospitality
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
- Fiji citizen (application open for Fiji citizens only)
- Clear and professional communication skills; ability to work with diverse groups
- Physical capability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds independently and 50+ pounds with assistance
