About the role
As a Consultant in the Corporate Secretarial Practice, you’ll manage regulatory compliance for a portfolio of Australian and foreign companies and work with extraordinary people who are passionate and courageous about supporting clients to meet and exceed their potential. Key Responsibilities: • Is accountable for specific work assignments, completing all tasks to a standard that meets the Australian team’s expectations. • Identifies and appropriately documents issues and conclusions, and consults with appropriate Australian team members as necessary. • Prioritises multiple tasks effectively using strong time management skills. • Keeps senior team members in Australia informed of significant developments and progress. • Maintains documentation in accordance with Firm standards. • Demonstrates a commitment to developing technical capabilities. • Proactively seeks and identifies opportunities to increase involvement in engagements. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: • Notifies the Australian companies regulator (ASIC) of changes to company particulars, including preparation of annual company statements, ASIC forms, minutes, and related documentation. • Ensures company compliance with statutory obligations, including requirements of ASIC and the Australian Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). • Engages with clients and professionals and develops strong relationships both internally and externally. • Assists with incorporating Australian companies and other entity structures. • Registers and renews business names. • Maintains statutory registers.
