British American Tobacco Solomon Islands has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Operator in Fiji This role is responsible for operating and maintaining assigned production equipment to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets. The Operator applies Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and Daily Management Systems (DMS) principles to drive equipment reliability, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include: • Operate assigned equipment and flow to work as needed to meet business requirements, while completing daily production activities in accordance with established processes and standards. • Perform daily, weekly, and major maintenance, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, identify abnormalities, and eliminate root causes to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime. • Execute equipment changeovers in line with Standard Work Practices and target times, while establishing, documenting, maintaining, and ensuring compliance with equipment and operational standards. • Execute DMS and action plans, and apply IWS tools and continuous improvement methodologies to identify and eliminate losses, develop improvement plans, and drive breakthrough improvements in process reliability and planned and unplanned downtime.
