About the role
This role owns regulatory and market compliance, product traceability, cost of quality reporting, sustainability programs, and quality systems governance across multiple international markets for FIJI Water. The Quality Compliance Manager acts as the central point of contact for compliance issues, partnering with regulatory affairs, legal, marketing, supply chain, and sustainability teams. The role requires driving end-to-end compliance and continuous improvement across regions, with strong expertise in international labeling, food safety regulations, and multi-country regulatory frameworks.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with NPD, marketing, and regulatory teams to comply with importing countries' labeling requirements and monitor global regulatory changes impacting bottled water and packaging.
- Maintain a register of all regulatory requirements and approvals for markets served, and support market entry activities by validating compliance readiness.
- Oversee product disposition processes to ensure full traceability, documentation, and compliance with regulatory and internal audit requirements, including tracking non-conforming product and validating destruction certificates.
- Collate, analyze, and report cost of quality data including waste, rework, recalls, and non-conformance costs, preparing executive-level dashboards for Senior Leadership Team reporting.
- Manage Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reporting across applicable markets, compile packaging and recycling data, and coordinate registrations and certifications related to post-consumer recycled plastic usage.
- Maintain and improve quality and compliance management systems aligned with ISO, HACCP, and food safety standards, supporting internal and external audits and developing standard operating procedures.
- Identify compliance risks across markets, lead investigations into compliance breaches or labeling errors, and coordinate recall readiness and mock recall exercises.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on regulatory and labeling requirements, and identify opportunities to streamline compliance processes across regions.
About the successful candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in quality, compliance, or regulatory roles within FMCG or beverage industries.
- Strong knowledge of international labeling and food safety regulations, with experience in multi-country regulatory frameworks (Asia, EU, APAC, US).
- Experience with EPR, sustainability reporting, and packaging compliance highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including experience with cost of quality metrics.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and a governance and risk management mindset.
- Strong technical and executive-level communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel 10%.
