About the role

United Containers (Fiji) Pte Ltd is a locally owned private company with over 30 years of service operating Fiji's largest container depot with hire and sales capability. A vacancy exists for a 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 to be based at its 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐤𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐭. Primary responsibilities include: ✔️ Booking in the system and co-ordinating deliveries of containers arriving at, or leaving the container yard, as well as arranging container hire to customers. ✔️ Liaising with drivers regarding their container requirements ✔️ Entering information regarding deliveries, release/voyage details and other logistical matters on computer systems ✔️ Responsible for updating the container movements daily, completing various reports either weekly or monthly ✔️ Respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner (via email, phone or in person) ✔️ Process all repair and wash bay documents by entering into the system and filing away the worksheets. Email the details to Depot Manager/operations Manager and Team Leaders. ✔️ Check on a weekly basis with shipping companies on any releases (whether valid or otherwise) ✔️ Undertake monthly container stock take in the yard for each client and report findings to Operations Manager.
