About the role
This Lautoka-based role supports Accounts Payable and Receivable functions for NWVL and NAPL, ensuring efficient financial operations and smooth daily office functioning. The role is primarily responsible for invoice processing, vendor coordination, and maintaining accurate financial records, while also assisting with payables administration. It also provides support to the Accounts Receivable function, including invoicing local customers and receipting payments. The successful candidate will also provide general administrative and reception support as directed by supervisors and management.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process supplier invoices accurately and on time per standard operating procedures
- Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and answer AP-related queries
- Perform reviews of vendor statements and maintain supplier reconciliations
- Review APPO line items against supplier reconciliations
- Support month-end Accounts Payable close activities and maintain organized AP records for audit and compliance
- Manage the AP Queries mailbox, ensuring emails are reviewed, responded to, and cleared daily
- Support Accounts Receivable by issuing invoices to local customers, handling related queries, and receipting customer payments
- Provide other administrative and reception support as directed, and support organizational quality and environmental initiatives across the site
About the successful candidate
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area with 1-2 years' experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Excellent work ethic and self-motivated with proven problem-solving capabilities
- Able to meet the fast-paced nature of business demands with a can-do attitude
