Air Terminal Services Fiji is based in Nadi and operates ICT network infrastructure and software systems supporting its business operations. The organisation runs an in-house ICT section led by a Manager ICT overseeing systems support and development.
About the role
This Graduate Trainee position is responsible for understanding ATS IT network infrastructure and software systems. The trainee will provide daily systems support to users and assist the Systems Analyst on new ICT projects. The role covers first-level user support, maintenance of existing business systems and applications, and design and development of new application systems using Cloud and On-Premise technologies. Duties also extend to user acceptance testing, ICT audit assistance, project documentation, user manual preparation and training, system installation, and content management system updates. The trainee reports to and receives direction from the Manager ICT.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first level support to users on systems and infrastructure.
- Assist Systems Analyst in performing maintenance on existing business systems/applications.
- Design customized reports for various in-house applications.
- Design and develop new application systems as per approved specifications using Cloud and On-Premise Technologies.
- Conduct user acceptance testing.
- Assist with ICT Audit Requirements.
- Assist Systems Analyst in project management and documentation tasks.
- Prepare User Manuals and conduct user trainings on new and existing systems.
About the successful candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Computing Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology.
- Practical exposure gained through academic projects, internships, industrial attachments, volunteer work, or relevant certifications will be an advantage.
