About the role
The Communications & Media Officer will manage and coordinate all communication and media activities for ATS. This includes developing and nurturing stakeholder relationships, and developing, implementing and monitoring strategic communications plans while creating engaging content. The role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. It also covers managing the organisation's social media accounts and maintaining a positive public image, along with presenting company news and updates to teams, executives, shareholders and the public.
Key responsibilities
- Develop relationships with members of the media and respond to requests for information.
- Coordinate the public appearances of executives or other leaders in the organization.
- Create, develop and implement communication campaigns and monitor their effectiveness.
- Align communications and promotional activities with business goals.
- Communicate processes, strategies and outcomes with executives and stakeholders.
- Develop and publish press releases, case studies and business proposals.
- Plan and initiate communications and promotional campaigns.
- Evaluate performance of campaign strategies and improve approaches as necessary.
About the successful candidate
- A relevant degree in Journalism, Arts or Public Relations from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years proven experience as Communications/Public Relations or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of project management principles.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, photo and video-editing software, visual design and production tool.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
- Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
- Proficient command of English.
