About the role
This Fleet Officer role is based at EFL's Kinoya Depot and reports to the Fleet Services Manager. The position is responsible for keeping the EFL vehicle fleet operational, coordinating repairs and servicing with dealers, and supervising Fleet Support Officers. It covers record-keeping for vehicle costs, driver licences, insurance, Certificate of Fitness renewals, GPS tracking, and fuel cards across all Strategic Business Areas. The officer also manages the accident register, follows up on police reports and LTA fines, carries out vehicle spot checks and care audits, and supports the Fleet Services Manager with reporting and new vehicle acquisitions.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure all EFL vehicles are in good working condition and available for operational use
- Coordinate timely vehicle repairs and servicing with dealers to minimise disruption to operations
- Monitor and supervise Fleet Support Officers for smooth workflow within the Fleet Division
- Maintain registers of authorised drivers, licences, insurance, and defensive driver certificates
- Track Certificate of Fitness (COF) expiry dates and coordinate inspections in advance
- Maintain vehicle, GPS, and fuel card registers, and provide reports to supervisors and managers
- Maintain the EFL motor vehicle accident register and follow up on demand letters and police reports
- Carry out vehicle spot checks and care audits, and report defective vehicle conditions within 24 hours
About the successful candidate
- Completion of a Trade Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering with completion of an apprenticeship program
- A mature person with at least 3 years' experience in office administration is an added advantage
- Some garage supervisory skills are an added advantage
- Must possess a valid Group 2 and/or Group 6 driving licence
- Good knowledge of GPS tracking systems
- Ability to extract and analyse information from the Financial Management System as required
