About the role
This Billing Services Officer position is based at Energy Fiji Limited's Head Office in the Central Division and reports to the Team Leader Billings. The role covers customer billing operations including data entry, billing queues, overdue and unbilled reports, and reconnection processing within the 24-hour guideline. It also includes solar and IPP customer administration, such as maintaining vendor folders, reconciling export consumption, preparing payment requisitions, and providing monthly reports to management on solar customer growth. The officer handles free electricity processing for EFL accounts and other duties assigned by the Team Leader or GMCS.
Key responsibilities
- Run and print CFI report and monitor implementation by Meter readers, updating the system accordingly
- Do data entry and work on billing queues, overdue and unbilled reports
- Compile daily reconnection reports, attend to Reconnection Service orders, and close SOA promptly on a daily basis
- Liaise with Contact Centre on over-24-hour reconnection reports to ensure none remain overdue beyond the guideline
- Update Gentrack system customer database on meter reader comments, meter status, RCM, and disconnection fees
- Organize disconnection of dishonored cheques and update the system accordingly
- Process all Streetlight billing every month end and assist with billing enquiries through the Customer Services Inbox
- Carry out data integrity and reconciliation analysis for solar and IPP customers, and prepare monthly reports for FMIS and EFL management
About the successful candidate
- Diploma in Business Studies, Accounting, Economics, or Management Studies
- At least two years' experience in administrative work or customer billing
- Good knowledge of financial services is an advantage though not essential
- Experience using a billing system (such as Gentrack) is an advantage though not essential
