About the role
This is a permanent, full-time Assistant Manager role in Commercial Banking, based at ANZ Namaka. The Assistant Manager supports the Relationship Manager in driving sustainable business growth while maintaining sound risk management practices to protect portfolio quality. The role requires discipline in following governance and process requirements, a good understanding of customers' business operations and the local market, and close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery to customers.
Key responsibilities
- Support Relationship Managers in making banking easier for customers, providing customer solutions and insights
- Conduct financial analysis and develop and implement appropriate customer strategies
- Establish and maintain a professional profile in the market and an understanding of the customer's industry and associated markets
- Work collaboratively with other internal work functions and stakeholders
- Demonstrate living the ANZ Values with customers and colleagues
About the successful candidate
- Great financial literacy, analytical skills, commercial and business acumen
- Strong analytical ability to assess and interpret implications of financial trends
- Prior experience in developing strong relationships in a customer delivery or customer experience role
- Sound understanding of the structuring of security arrangements
- Experience in the banking industry is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Preferably possesses an accounting or finance degree or equivalent, though not a strict requirement
