About the role
As an Application Development & Support Analyst, you will play a key role in designing, developing, enhancing and supporting critical banking applications across Fiji and the Pacific region. You will work closely with project teams, business stakeholders and technology partners to deliver innovative technology solutions while ensuring the stability, reliability and performance of existing systems. The role covers application development, testing, implementation, maintenance and ongoing support of business-critical systems, along with incident resolution, system upgrades, change management activities and an on-call support roster to maintain service availability.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance and support critical banking applications across Fiji and the Pacific region.
- Work closely with project teams, business stakeholders and technology partners to deliver technology solutions.
- Responsible for application development, testing, implementation, maintenance and ongoing support of business-critical systems.
- Participate in incident resolution, system upgrades and change management activities.
- Take part in an on-call support roster to maintain service availability.
About the successful candidate
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years' experience in application development and support within a corporate IT environment.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), systems analysis and application design principles.
- Experience in software development, testing, implementation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of databases, SQL, APIs and system integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with programming languages and technologies such as Python, .NET / C#, Java, PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of banking systems, electronic payments and digital banking platforms is an advantage.
