Fiji National University is Fiji's national tertiary institution, delivering higher education and TVET programs across multiple campuses including Narere. Within the university, the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor TVET also houses Fiji's National Productivity Organisation (NPO), which links the university's technical and vocational training work to national productivity initiatives.
About the role
This role sits within the NPO - TVET department, under the Office of the Pro-VC TVET. The Coordinator oversees all Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) programs in Fiji and provides administrative support to the APO Director, the Pro-Vice Chancellor TVET (who also heads Fiji's National Productivity Organisation), and the APO Alternate Director. Working alongside the NTPC Director and under the guidance of the NPO Head, the Coordinator manages the planning, delivery, and implementation of APO projects and workshops.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all APO (Asian Productivity Organisation) programs in Fiji
- Provide administrative support to the APO Director, the Pro-Vice Chancellor TVET, and the APO Alternate Director
- Work with the NTPC Director under the guidance of the NPO Head
- Manage the planning, delivery, and implementation of APO projects and workshops
About the successful candidate
- A Bachelor's degree in Science, Arts, Education, TVET, Business Administration, or other relevant area
- At least 10 years of direct industry work experience in a major corporation dealing with tourism, agriculture processing, manufacturing, retail, and/or related fields, of which at least 5 years must be in an NPO
- Experience liaising with APO and other NPOs
- Experience organizing conferences or events
- Excellent Microsoft and PowerPoint skills, with strong problem solving, presentation, organizational, and analytical skills
- Desirable: a Postgraduate Diploma in Science, Arts, Education, TVET, Business Administration, or other relevant area
- Desirable: at least 8 years of direct industry work experience in a major corporation dealing with tourism, agriculture processing, manufacturing, retail, and/or related fields, of which at least 3 years must be in an NPO
