About the role

This Service Technician role sits within the Department of Maintenance under the Division of Estates & Facilities at the Pasifika Campus. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and facilitating engineering and building services works, including Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Fire Protection & Detection systems, standby generators, and CCTV cameras. The role also involves monitoring contractors against service level agreements and conducting regular audits across various campuses as required.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and facilitate engineering and building services works, including Air Conditioning & Refrigeration systems
  • Oversee Fire Protection & Detection systems
  • Oversee standby generators and CCTV cameras
  • Monitor contractors for compliance with service level agreements
  • Conduct regular audits on various campuses as required

About the successful candidate

  • Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant work experience; or
  • Trade Certificate/Certificate IV in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant work experience; or
  • Completion of an approved apprenticeship program in the relevant field with at least 4 years of relevant work experience; or
  • Trade Test Certificate level 1 with 4 years relevant work experience; or Trade Test Certificate level 2 with 5 years relevant work experience; or Trade Test Certificate level 3 with 6 years relevant work experience
  • Higher qualification desirable
  • Working knowledge of CCTV, generators, and fire mitigation and compliance desirable
  • Experience/training in OHS and/or Project Management desirable
  • Valid driver's licence desirable

Salary
FJD 24,316.00 gross per annum plus superannuation
