About the role

Ref: AC 124/26. Department: CAFF General Office. Division: College of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry. A Lecturer is qualified to Masters’ level (FQF level 9) and has expertise in a particular subject which is taught proficiently at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level programmes (up to level 8). A Lecturer is research-active and is beginning to publish their work in peer-reviewed journals. A Lecturer is involved in the work of their department and takes on administrative roles that assist the Department to function.

About the successful candidate

  • Masters in the relevant field (FQF level 9)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant teaching/work experience OR
  • Research – active: evidence of work published in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Desirable: The lecturer should possess a mix of qualities that make them effective both in the classroom and in a broader educational environment.
  • Desirable: Demonstrable evidence of quality teaching
  • Desirable: Clear evidence of good teaching performance
