About the role

The Finance Specialist leads the finance, accounting and administrative function of the Compact Development Team (CDT), covering both administrative and financial activities including management of the Government's payroll for the CDT. This individual acts as the strategic and day-to-day manager of the Compact Development Funding (CDF) Agreement budget, overseeing the CDT's fiduciary integrity and financial management through the life of its activities. As the CDT is embedded within the Budget Division of the Ministry of Finance, the role requires managing CDT finances in compliance with both MCC's financial requirements and government standards. The role also involves producing periodic financial reports for decision-making by the CDT, MCC and Government stakeholders, and leading the CDT through budget and audit exercises.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance, accounting and administrative function of the CDT
• Manage the Government's payroll for the CDT
• Act as strategic and day-to-day manager of the CDF Agreement budget
• Maintain the CDT's fiduciary integrity and financial management
• Ensure compliance with MCC's financial requirements
• Oversee production of periodic financial reports for CDT, MCC and Government stakeholders
