About the role
This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payments and overall creditor management within the Finance team in Lautoka. The role covers local and overseas payment processing, invoice checking against LPOs, GL coding, and monthly creditor and LPO reconciliations. It also involves maintaining the petty cash float, filing payment vouchers, resolving supplier queries, and assisting with internal and external audits.
Key responsibilities
- Process all local and overseas payments, including arranging funds via TT to the bank
- Check creditor invoices against the processing LPO before payments are made
- Post creditor invoices in the system and apply correct GL coding of expenses
- Perform monthly creditor reconciliation and open LPO reconciliation
- Reconcile accruals and journal postings for LPOs and expenses
- Ensure creditor payments are made in a timely manner
- Maintain the petty cash float with Finance and file payment vouchers with receipts attached
- Attend to supplier enquiries, resolve disputes, and assist with internal and external audits
About the successful candidate
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting and Financial Management
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to multi-task and work under minimum supervision
- Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills
- Ability to work extra hours when required
- A clean and valid driver's licence would be an advantage
- Knowledge of the Health Industry is desired
- Prior experience working with the Oracle system is desired
