About the role
The Patient Experience Officer joins the hospital's customer service team and reports to the Manager Patient Registration & OPD Billing. This role acts as the initial point of contact for external and internal queries about hospital services, managing reception and front-office duties. The officer works with clients of diverse backgrounds, provides timely information, handles basic customer complaints, and liaises with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth patient experience. The role requires quick thinking in a fast-paced, 24-hour hospital environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide an initial point of contact for external and internal queries relating to the hospital's services
- Manage reception and front-office operations
- Provide adequate and timely information in response to inquiries
- Attend to concerns and requests about hospital products and services
- Address and handle basic customer complaints
- Liaise with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth patient experience
- Critically think and analyse situations to assist patients
About the successful candidate
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or Office Administration preferred
- Must be an active listener able to provide relevant and helpful information
- Must be adaptable and attentive to a wide range of customer needs
- Must possess good telephone etiquette and excellent customer orientation skills
- Capable of working collaboratively with colleagues
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be flexible to work in a 24-hour hospital environment
