About the role
As a Room Attendant at Hilton Fiji, you are responsible for keeping guest rooms spotless and ensuring guests have a memorable stay. Typical daily duties include cleaning and tidying assigned rooms, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and deep cleaning as needed. You will also replenish linens and guest amenities, and respond promptly and courteously to guest requests. The role requires shift work, including weekends and holidays, and involves physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and tidy assigned rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and vacuuming
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed
- Replace bed linens, towels, and guest essentials as needed
- Stock, maintain, and transport the housekeeping supply cart daily
- Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously
- Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas
About the successful candidate
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Housekeeping department
- Prior housekeeping or room attendant experience preferred, especially in hospitality
- Ability to maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Courteous and professional when interacting with guests
- Efficient in completing tasks within set timeframes
- Available to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Basic proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
