About the role
As a Steward, you will be the backbone of the kitchen, keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and ensuring smooth, sparkling service that supports memorable guest experiences. The role involves cleaning chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils, scrubbing pots and pans, and burnishing silver as part of daily duties. You will also help maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations to uphold guest and team member well-being. This position is open to Fijian citizens only.
Key responsibilities
- Clean all chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils, scrub pots and pans, and burnish silver
- Monitor stock levels to ensure supplies and equipment are well stocked and organized for seamless service
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness through essential cleaning tasks, including mopping and trash removal
- Prepare and set up clean serviceware for banquets and functions
- Train and mentor new stewards to help strengthen team performance
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
About the successful candidate
- Junior Middle School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of work experience in a 4- to 5-star hotel preferred
- Able to operate and maintain cleaning equipment
- Knowledge in HACCP preferred
- Eligible for Fijian citizens only
