About the role
This Loss Prevention Officer patrols all areas of the property and assists guests with room access. The role monitors Closed Circuit Televisions, the perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and the fire life safety system, and locks property entrances when required. It covers emergency response, including contacting EMS or administering first aid/CPR, notifying appropriate individuals of accidents or incidents, and defusing guest or employee disturbances. The officer completes incident reports, a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report, conducts investigations and interviews, and escorts unwelcome persons from the property while maintaining confidentiality of Security/Loss Prevention records. The position also involves routine physical hazard inspections and general compliance with company safety, uniform, and service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access

- Conduct daily physical hazard inspections
- Respond to accidents, contact EMS, or administer first aid/CPR as required

- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties
- Escort unwelcome persons from the property and resolve safety hazard situations
About the successful candidate
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- No related work experience required
- No supervisory experience required
- No license or certification required

- Able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or entire work shift
- Able to move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance (over 75 pounds with assistance)
- Able to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and over uneven or sloping surfaces
