About the role
The Director of Food & Beverage provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the resort's Food & Beverage operations, covering Restaurants, Bars, Room Service, Banquets, Catering, and Culinary functions. The role is accountable for executing Westin brand standards, maximizing financial performance, and building a culture of service excellence and employee engagement. This position leads departmental and property-wide strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency, and partners closely with Culinary, Sales, Revenue Management, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations teams. The Director also oversees budget control, guest experience initiatives, leadership development within the Food & Beverage team, and compliance with safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all Food & Beverage operations across Restaurants, Bars, In-Room Dining, Banquets, Catering, and Culinary functions.
- Develop and execute Food & Beverage strategies aligned with Marriott brand standards and the property's business goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize Food & Beverage revenues and profitability.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the annual Food & Beverage budget and implement cost-control measures.
- Partner closely with the Executive Chef and Culinary leadership team to ensure food quality and menu innovation.
- Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction surveys and implement service recovery solutions.
- Lead, coach, and develop Food & Beverage and Culinary leadership teams, including performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, hygiene, health, and workplace safety regulations, and responsible alcohol service practices.
About the successful candidate
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management.
