About the role
This grounds-focused position is responsible for keeping the resort's outdoor areas tidy and well presented. Duties include lawn care such as mowing, edging, and raking, along with upkeep of flower beds, baskets, and planters through watering, weeding, and trimming. The role also covers cleaning and repairing fountains, planters, and other grounds features, as well as maintaining the safety and appearance of sidewalks, driveways, cart paths, and parking areas. The attendant uses tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to move equipment and supplies, and is expected to follow safety and security procedures, report hazards, and keep equipment in good working order. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, working on uneven or sloped surfaces, and using ladders.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance.
- Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, raking leaves, and performing other lawn maintenance functions.
- Wash, clean, and re-fuel all equipment after use.
- Maintain flower beds, baskets, and boxes by watering, removing weeds, trimming, and performing other maintenance.
- Remove and bag trash from all exterior trash cans.
- Maintain the appearance of fountains, planters, or other grounds features by cleaning, replacing, or making repairs.
- Maintain the appearance and safety of sidewalks, driveways, cart paths, or parking lots by filling in cracks and holes.
- Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.
About the successful candidate
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- Less than 1 year of related work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
- Able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or entire work shift.
- Able to move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Able to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and use ladders.
