About the role
The Licensed Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and associated infrastructure throughout the resort. The role sits within the Engineering Department and ensures all electrical assets operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards while supporting guest comfort and operational continuity. There are 4 vacant positions available for this role, covering guest room, public area, kitchen, laundry, back-of-house, and exterior electrical systems.
Key responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components throughout the property
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical distribution systems, switchboards, transformers, generators, lighting systems, power outlets, and associated equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, equipment failures, and power distribution issues
- Maintain and service guest room, public area, kitchen, laundry, back-of-house, and exterior electrical systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Monitor and maintain emergency lighting, backup power systems, and standby generators
- Respond to electrical maintenance requests promptly and maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of electrical systems in accordance with applicable regulations and conduct routine safety inspections and testing
About the successful candidate
- Valid Electrical Technician License recognized in Fiji
- Trade Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related trade
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, building services, facilities maintenance, or a related field
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switchboards, generators, lighting systems, motors, control panels, and electrical protection devices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance documentation
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required; must have working rights in Fiji
