About the role
This is a live-in HR Officer position based at Serenity Island Resort, overseeing HR matters for approximately 35 staff members. The role covers the full HR function, including compliance with employment laws and company policies, payroll administration, recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and training coordination. The officer also supports workforce planning to keep staffing levels adequate. Work is scheduled on a 12 days on, 2-3 days off basis, which varies by month. Private accommodation and meals are provided as part of the live-in arrangement.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee HR matters for approximately 35 staff members.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain and update payroll records daily and oversee salary payments every two weeks.
- Lead recruitment efforts when hiring new employees.
- Foster a positive work environment, addressing staff concerns and ensuring engagement.
- Conduct performance management and handle employee relations effectively.
- Coordinate and implement training programs as needed.
- Support workforce planning to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
About the successful candidate
- Prior experience in HR, recruitment, or workforce co-ordination preferred.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and record-keeping.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR matters professionally.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
