About the role
This is a 1-year fixed-term contract for a Quality Attache based in Suva, supporting quality inspection activities across incoming materials and finished products. The role checks that raw materials and finished goods meet required standards before release or shipment, and helps verify housekeeping and supply chain practices. It also involves sorting and organising samples for testing, maintaining accurate inspection records, and helping ensure quality, safety, and cleanliness requirements are consistently followed in the workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct incoming material inspections to ensure raw materials meet quality standards and specification requirements.
- Perform finished product inspections to verify product quality, accuracy, and compliance before release or shipment.
- Carry out verification checks on housekeeping and supply chain processes to ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards.
- Sort and organize smoke samples accurately for inspection, testing, and record-keeping purposes.
- Maintain inspection records and report quality issues, non-conformities, or defects to the relevant departments for corrective action.
- Support general quality assurance activities, including workplace housekeeping, documentation, and adherence to safety and quality procedures.
About the successful candidate
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC) environment is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and report quality issues accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
