About the company
This consultancy is issued through UN Jobnet Fiji on behalf of the World Health Organization (WHO), which works with the Fijian Government on public health programmes including HIV, STI, Hepatitis and TB surveillance. WHO supports national health authorities with technical expertise, system strengthening and capacity building to improve health outcomes.
About the role
This consultancy supports Fiji's HIV response by strengthening the information technology and digital systems used for HIV, STI, Hepatitis and TB data. The consultant will assess existing data systems and platforms, identify gaps in interoperability and reporting, and develop a phased roadmap for system improvement. A further focus is strengthening integration between key systems such as PATIS/PATIS-CMRIS, Tamanu, STARLIMS, mSupply and the National Notifiable Disease Surveillance System. The contract runs for 11 months, starting January 2027, subject to completion of recruitment formalities.

- Create training modules for health workers and programme staff on system use, data quality and troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement a capacity-building and knowledge-transfer plan, including mentoring sessions with the MHMS Digital Health Officer.
- Develop a linkage plan and data exchange specifications between PATIS/PATIS-CMRIS, Tamanu, STARLIMS, mSupply and the National Notifiable Disease Surveillance System, and document progress on implemented linkages and testing outcomes.
