About the company

UNODC (the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) is a global body working on illicit drugs, crime, corruption and terrorism, with a focus on international cooperation in criminal matters. Its Regional Office for Southeast Asia and the Pacific (ROSEAP), based in Bangkok, has over 300 staff and extends its reach through satellite presences in 10 countries, including Fiji, supporting Member States and regional organisations on rule of law, law enforcement, criminal justice and drug-related issues.

About the role

This is an Online Volunteer assignment supporting the UNODC Pacific Office with graphic design and layout of communications and outreach materials across its programmes, up to 15 products in total. The volunteer will work under the guidance of the Communications Associate, who acts as the primary focal point for coordinating the design process, consolidating feedback and reviewing deliverables with relevant programme teams, in close collaboration with other programme focal points. Deliverables may include event and outreach materials such as banners, backdrops, posters and flyers; knowledge products such as factsheets, brochures and information briefs; infographics and data visualisations presenting programme results; and editable design templates for reuse across programmes. UNODC will supply the substantive content, reference materials and branding guidelines, while the specific deliverables, priorities and timelines are agreed at the start of the assignment. All designs are subject to UNODC review and approval and remain UNODC's intellectual property.

  • Produce event and outreach materials such as banners, backdrops, posters and flyers for programme activities and events.
  • Produce knowledge and information products such as factsheets, brochures and information briefs.
  • Create infographics and data visualisations to present key information, statistics and programme results.
