About the role

The Properties Officer supports asset and property management across Fiji Development Bank, including fixed asset verification, asset register updates, and disposal coordination. The role also covers maintenance and facilities support for buildings, equipment, grounds, and car parks, working closely with contractors and service providers. It includes administering service level agreements and contracts, monitoring expiry dates, and assisting with procurement and quotations. The officer prepares routine reports on asset and maintenance status, processes utility and contractor payments, and supports basic cost estimates. Risk, safety, and OHS compliance duties are part of the role, along with hazard reporting. The officer also provides property and asset support to FDB branches and may act as a relief driver.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the annual verification and auditing of FDB's fixed assets
  • Conduct asset counts, record results, and update the asset register accurately and timely
  • Assist with office setup, furniture relocation, and minor office maintenance works
  • Coordinate and assist with asset disposal processes in accordance with approved policies
  • Maintain accurate records for assets including warranties, locations, and usage
  • Support FDB-wide annual inventory/stock-take exercises and reconcile inventory records
  • Monitor and coordinate routine maintenance of buildings, equipment, and facilities including air-conditioning, generators, sanitation, pest control, and cleaning services
  • Maintain service and maintenance registers and ensure updates are completed promptly

About the successful candidate

  • Tertiary Diploma or Certificate in Property, Project Management, Civil/Construction, Architecture or a related technical field
  • Full Driver's Licence – Group 2 or 4
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a property, facilities, or asset management support role
  • Experience liaising with contractors and service providers
  • Experience maintaining asset records and maintenance documentation
