About the role
This EMS Driver role is based in Lautoka and is responsible for the safe and timely delivery and pickup of items between designated sites. The driver handles consignment notes, applies correct charges based on actual or volumetric weight, and manages daily cash accounting through a handover book submitted to the shift supervisor. The role also covers ensuring freight and cargo are correctly sorted and marked for destination, maintaining the vehicle's cleanliness and appearance, and representing the company professionally in public interactions.
Key responsibilities
- Safe and timely delivery & pickup between designated sites
- Ensure the vehicle is cleaned regularly and presents an appropriate image of the company
- Effective and efficient customer service
- Ensure all necessary details are captured on the consignment note and correct charges according to actual or volumetric weight are applied
- Account for daily cash tendered for service rendered in the handover book given to the shift supervisor on the same day
- Balance the handover book and submit it to the Supervisor at the end of each shift
- Ensure all air/sea freights and surface cargo are closed according to correct destinations and marked clearly on destination stickers
- Uphold the good reputation of the company through courteous interaction with members of the public, and abide by OHS rules and regulations
About the successful candidate
- Minimum of a Form 6 pass
- Valid Group 2 manual driving license
- Minimum of 3 years' driving experience
- Valid Group 6 and/or 8 licenses would be an added advantage
- Ability to work flexibly in demanding situations
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and deliver on targets
