Sugar Cane Growers Fund (SCGF) is a statutory body providing loans and advances to sugar cane growers in Fiji. It is one of the key stakeholders in the Sugar Cane Industry and plays an important role in supporting the interests of cane growers.

About the role

This Relationship Support Officer role is based at the Seaqaqa Office and reports to the Senior Relationship Officer, and ultimately to the Manager Lending & Operations. The officer provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to sugar cane growers, explains and promotes the Fund's products, and provides support to the Lending Team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly and courteous service to sugar cane growers and explain/promote the Fund's products
• Treat cane growers on a fair and equitable basis having regard to their needs and resources
• Interview sugar cane growers in respect of loan applications
• Support and participate with the Senior Relationship Officer and Management Team in achieving the Fund's goals and objectives, including arrears collection
• Maintain a good understanding and user-level capacity of the Core Lending System
• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management

About the successful candidate

• Diploma level, preferably in Finance, Agriculture or Business
• Possess relevant lending knowledge of Sugar Industry regulations
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar field
• A valid Driver's License would be an advantage
