About the role
This role sits within the International Business – Carrier Services Team and reports to the Head of International Business. The Carrier Coordinator and Product Tester, also referred to as the Roaming Coordinator, facilitates the implementation of roaming services between Digicel markets and international roaming partners. The role focuses on delivering new roaming services and maintaining partner relationships to grow inbound and outbound roaming revenue. It involves managing partners, vendors, and internal Digicel teams to meet targets, and requires effective project management to coordinate roaming testing activities between roaming partners and vendors.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinating and following up the process of technical (IREG) and billing (TADIG) roaming testing (Voice, Camel, GPRS & 3G)
- Performing IREG testing (Roaming Products) to support the IREG team
- Maintaining roaming functionality through post-launch testing to ensure roaming service availability
- Managing test SIM cards, database, and supporting SIM card inventory process
- Sending updated AA14, IR21, and other requests or queries to roaming partners by mail, and tracking information shared among roaming partners
- Providing support to front line staff in resolving roaming related customer queries
- Coordinating roaming activities with NSS operation, roaming partners, and clearing houses
About the successful candidate
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant area of specialty (not mandatory)
- Understanding of operator setup and operational details
- Understanding of GSM/3G and LTE networks
- Knowledge of equipment operations and network standards
- Ability to communicate internally, upward, and cross-functionally
- Ability to diagnose and correct various systems and interworking problems
- Knowledge of IP network design, implementation, and operations
- Knowledge of 3GPP recommendations for GSM/GPRS service and its protocols
