About the role
This Handyman role sits within the Properties Team and is based at the Laucala Beach Estate site. The role covers general repairs and maintenance across plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical work, along with installing, assembling, and repairing fixtures, furniture, and equipment. The successful applicant will diagnose problems, recommend solutions, and complete service requests efficiently, working either independently or as part of a team. Long hours and weekend work may be required.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance—plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and more with certificates
- Install, assemble, and repair fixtures, furniture, and equipment
- Diagnose problems and recommend effective solutions
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in excellent condition
- Respond promptly to service requests and complete tasks efficiently
- Work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality results
- Be able to work long hours and weekends, if required
About the successful candidate
- Relevant Trade Certificate in Carpentry
- Proven experience (minimum of 2 years) as a handyman, maintenance worker, or similar role
- Skills in multiple trades—basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
- Strong practical skill to use a variety of tools and equipment safely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Group 6 Driver's licence will be an added advantage
