About the role
The Company Driver safely transports Cabin Crew, Technical Crew, Airline Staff, VIPs, and Executives, as well as operational packages, meeting aviation-industry time-critical standards, flight schedules, and duty time limitations. The role uses the FJ-TAPSi system to receive tasking and provide progress updates, and follows programmed routes using navigation tools to avoid delays, roadblocks, or disruptions. Drivers conduct pre-start, in-shift, and post-shift vehicle inspections, keep accurate records of vehicle use, mileage, fuel/charging, and trip logs, and report defects, incidents, or near misses. The role also covers office logistics and administrative transport tasks such as document collection, equipment delivery, and urgent operational movements. The Company Driver works closely with the Executive Manager Transport & Vehicle Fleet and Transport Coordinators to support continuous improvement of transport services, and acts as a front-line ambassador for the organisation, maintaining confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism with passengers.
Key responsibilities
- Safely transport Cabin Crew, Technical Crew, Airline Staff, VIPs, Executives, and operational packages in accordance with aviation-industry time-critical standards.
- Ensure punctuality, meeting flight schedules, duty time limitations, and operational requirements.
- Follow programmed routes accurately, using navigation tools to avoid delays, roadblocks, or disruptions.
- Maintain situational awareness and make independent decisions during traffic disruptions, weather events, road closures, or operational changes.
- Conduct pre-start, in-shift, and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle use, mileage, fuel/charging, and trip logs.
- Identify, report, and document defects, incidents, or near misses, escalating issues promptly.
- Support office logistics and administrative transport tasks, including document collection, equipment delivery, and urgent operational movements.
About the successful candidate
- Hold a valid driver's licence: Classes 3, 4, 5, with Class 6 an added advantage.
- Form 6 level education.
- 3 years' driving experience.
- Extensive knowledge of operating areas.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency using GPS devices.
