About the role

The Container Yard Attendant maintains yard cleanliness, executes container processing operations, supports logistics activities, and upholds safety and environmental standards to ensure efficient fleet and yard operations. The role covers facility and yard maintenance, container operations, logistics support, safety and compliance, and administration. This is a fixed-term position based in Lautoka.

Key responsibilities

• Clean wash bays, garages, infrastructure, and yard areas per 5S standards.
• Maintain equipment and workstations pre-/post-shift.
• Wash and prepare containers to meet export requirements.
• Inspect containers using checklists; record numbers and assign to wash/repair bays.
• Assist in pallet loading, material transfers, and container movements using provided equipment (e.g., forklifts).
• Adhere to safety protocols and support site-wide quality/environmental initiatives.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.

About the successful candidate

• Form 6 completion plus experience in similar roles.
• 1–2 years in logistics equipment operation (preferred).
• Valid Group 9/Forklift license, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Technical logistics experience.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Excellent work ethic, self-motivated with proven problem-solving capabilities.
• Able to meet fast-paced business demands with a can-do attitude.
• Team player, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
