About the role

This role provides technical and operational support to the operations group at the Tavua production site, working to maintain equipment effectiveness at or above 85% OEE. The Process Operator works a shift pattern that includes nights, afternoons, and weekends, and must be flexible to operate across all functional areas. Responsibilities span operating and maintaining equipment such as forklifts, blower/fillers, labelers, shrink wrappers, case packers, palletizers, and injection molding machines. The role also involves daily management practices like centre lining, clean-inspect-lube checks, and defect handling, plus entering downtime data and ensuring materials are consumed using a Just in Time approach.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support to the operations group to maintain an OEE level at or above 85%
• Follow safe work practices and uphold OH&S procedures in the workplace
• Operate and maintain operations equipment including forklift, blower/filler, labeler, bottle date coders, shrink wrapper, case erectors, case packer, case sealer, case date coders, palletizer, stretch wrapper, and injection molding machines
• Respond to and correct operational issues including elementary maintenance and adjustment
• Carry out AM checks including centre lining, clean inspect lube, and defect handling, and escalate predictive failures to relevant stakeholders
• Execute hand palletizing and manual tasks such as product reworks, product destroy, and hand packing as required
• Perform quality inspections/checks to ensure optimal quality product
• Ensure materials are consumed using the Just in Time method via scanned guns

About the successful candidate

• Successful completion of Year 12
• Trade qualification in a relevant field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing)
• 3-5 years equivalent work experience in manufacturing field or product environment
• Extensive manufacturing background, especially in a bottling environment with technical experience, is preferred
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Valid group 9 driving license
• Excellent work ethic, self-motivated with proven problem-solving capabilities
• Able to work with minimal supervision, reliable, and a team player who meets fast-paced business demands
